R&D Tiger Fur Grooming (2015)

+ I was contracted for a small R&D project focused on tiger fur grooming using Yeti. The director wanted a wild, dirty, aggressive look, so I painted bold stripe patterns combined with many tiny clumps. The model was provided and could morph between wolf, dog, and horse with static UVs, so I worked within those constraints. I tested Shave and a Haircut but relied mostly on manuals and hands-on experimentation—building density with guide curves, styling nearly individual guides, and constantly checking renders.

+ A few years later, XGen became more artist-friendly with live viewport feedback, allowing me to push realism further with a faster workflow
